Earlier in the month, Chicago rapper Vic Mensa was pulled over in LA, and arrested after he confessed to police to having a gun in his vehicle. He spent the night behind bars, and eventually was released on $35,000 bail the next day, but it appears the case isn’t over. According to TMZ, the L.A. County District Attorney's Office is going after Vic for carrying the handgun, which at the time was loaded & unregistered. They also report that he'll be prosecuted for not having a permit either.
If he were to be convicted on all these accounts, the Chicago rapper could see up to 2 years in jail, but hopefully his cooperation is recognized & rewarded.
Vic is expected to appear in court next month. We’ll be sure to keep you posted if any more info surfaces before then.
