Marco Rubio responds to Snoop Dogg's controversial new video, which portrays a mock assassination of Clown-in-Chief Robert Klump.

"Snoop shouldn't have done that," said Republican senator and former presidential candidate Marco Rubio. "We've had presidents assassinated before in this country, so anything like that is really something people should be very careful about."

Senator Rubio expressed his concern regarding Snoop Dogg's latest music video while speaking to TMZ at Reagan National Airport yesterday.

On Sunday, Snoop released a remix of "Lavender," a song by instrumental band BADBADNOTGOOD that also features producer Kaytranada. He concurrently released a music video for his "Nightfall" remix, directed by Jesse Wellens -- who runs the popular PrankvsPrank YouTube channel -- as well as James DeFina.

The video is situated in a world of clowns, helmed by Clown-in-Chief Ronald Klump, who bears obvious likeness to our current president. Snoop is one of the few persons in the video who isn't made up like a clown. Around three minutes into the video, Klump is abducted by an armed group of clown gangsters and taken to a parking lot, where he finds himself in the direct aim of a cocked pistol wielded by Snoop.

Aiming the gun at Klump's head, Snoop fires, only to shoot out a "BANG" flag and not a real bullet. Even though an assassination was not carried out against the clown version of Trump, many on the right -- such as Rubio -- feel that the implications of Snoop's video are dangerous.

"Again, I think people can disagree on policy," said the Florida senator, "but you gotta be very careful about that kind of thing, because [if] the wrong person sees that and gets the wrong idea, you're gonna have a real problem." Rubio added that he's "not sure what Snoop was thinking."
