Steph Curry was a guest on The Dan Patrick Show today and the reigning, two-time MVP was asked which player would get his vote for NBA MVP, Warriors teammates excluded.
Steph was torn between triple-double machines James Harden and Russell Westbrook, but ultimately sided with The Beard because Houston has a 46-21 record, as opposed to OKC who is currently 37-29.
"You kind of have to reward the better team, I would think, record-wise," Curry said. "That's just kind of going in the history of the MVP award. So, I think James will probably edge him out just off of that."
While you can't discredit anything that LeBron James or Kawhi Leonard has done this season, it's very likely the MVP race will come down to Russ vs Harden.
With roughly 15 games remaining in the regular season, Harden is currently averaging 29.1 points, 11.2 assists and 7.9 rebounds per game. On the other hand, Westbrook is currently averaging a triple-double, posting 31.9 points, 10.1 assists and 10.5 rebounds per game.
