When the title of your reality TV show includes both your name and your wife’s name, it can be bad for business to get a divorce. It appears this holds true for Tiny and T.I. whose reality TV show will come to an end after the upcoming sixth season. This is in spite of the fact that the confusing divorce proceedings seem to have been halted as of last week.
Whether or not the divorce ends up going through, VH1 has confirmed to PEOPLE that the show will end after the 100th episode, the final in its sixth season. “VH1 is incredibly proud of this long running series and our partnership with Tip and Tameka,” Nina L. Diaz, an executive VP for VH1 and MTV said. “For six years, they have opened up their home and shared countless family moments with us. Reach 100 episodes is a milestone and we couldn’t be more excited to bring viewers the highly anticipated final season.”
A previous report said the sixth season would focus on the divorce proceedings, despite T.I.’s so far very private stance on discussing the divorce with the media. The report from PEOPLE states that this season T.I. will be focusing on his political activism and his Grand Hustle record label, while Tiny will be preparing for an Xscape reunion.
Whatever the case, the show begins Monday, April 17. Do y’all think the whole divorce thing was a publicity stunt? After the whole Drake-Jennifer Lopez thing and the fake Cash Me Ousside girl hack, we don’t even know what to believe.
