Seems like forever ago that Danny Brown shattered expectations with Old. In this case, forever means about two and a half years. Since then, Danny Brown has been touring the globe, but recently rumors have been percolating about a new album from the late-blooming emcee. FACT Magazine has an update for us from Nick Catchdubs.
“Danny is in the captain’s chair with his music. He’s recorded his album. Like everything he’s done in life, Danny’s gone a different route,” explains Catchdubs, an in-house DJ and record producer at Fool’s Gold Records, where Danny Brown is signed. “He’s gone in a direction that suits him. I think that when he feels lit’s time to unleash this shit, people are gonna be excited.”
Basically, Danny has the album but he’s not tipping his hand as to when he plans on releasing it. Frustrating to some extent, but we’re just excited that it exists and will be releasing at some point in time (hopefully this year). All we can do is wait for the first single, and you can bet we’ll have it here when it drops.
Tide yourself over while you wait with Danny Brown's last release "R.I.P. (Remix)" with producer Skywalker.
