In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid's radio show on Shade 45, boxing legend and promoter Oscar De La Hoya said he would fight Eminem in a celebrity boxing match if he could. The former boxing champion said Shady can pack a punch.
"Man, he has some moves," the Golden Boy said.
The late Emanuel Steward -- De la Hoya's former trainer and legendary figure in the boxing world -- also trained Em. At some point, Steward showed a video of Marshall Mathers boxing skills.
"He was punching the hand mitts and he was moving. He looked really good actually with a lot of power," he said.
When Whoo Kid said he should sign him to his team, De La Hoya said, "Or we can do a charity box off together. I can come down in weight."
Whoo Kid then asked if the charity boxing match would be like the Soulja Boy-Chris Brown-bout-that-never-happened.
"No, Eminem can fight, he can fight," De La Hoya said. "We don't want none of that stuff."
