Chance The Rapper appeared concerned when President Trump announced he would "send in the Feds" to Chicago. Monday, the Grammy award-winning artist tweeted that he is scheduled for a private sit-down with Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner.
Wednesday, the two will meet and discuss issues affecting their home state, specifically funding for education. The state administration confirmed to Pitchfork that "the governor will meet with Chance this week to discuss important issues affecting the state."
Lil Chano has been vocal concerning Trump's tweets about Chicago. In an interview with The Undefeated the emcee said he hoped the former game show host would do "some type of federal overturn of our state and city budgets in terms of schooling and housing."
"It sounds like he was announcing he was going to war with Chicago," Chance said.
