Baltimore Ravens safety, and former Florida Gators star, Matt Elam was arrested in Miami over the weekend for possession of oxycodone and marijuana, according to ESPN.
On Saturday night, Elam was reportedly driving a dark blue Range Rover when he swerved in front of an unmarked police car "at a high rate of speed" and when officers attempted to pull him over to conduct a traffic stop he reportedly sped up in an attempt to evade detectives before ultimately pulling over.
Police say the car wreaked of weed and upon searching the vehicle they found 126.2 grams of marijuana and six oxycodone pills weighing 3.1 grams inside of a Gucci backpack, in addition to $947, a Rolex, a men's necklace with white stones and a men's bracelet with white stones.
On top of that, one of the passengers had a loaded semi automatic pistol on him, without a permit to carry a concealed weapon.
The report claims the former first round pick was charged with one count of cannabis possession, one count of possession of cannabis with intent to sell or deliver, one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of reckless driving.
The Ravens released the following statement, per ESPN:
"We are aware of the arrest of Matt Elam," the Ravens said in a statement. "Matt is not in our plans for the 2017 Ravens."
Elam is currently being held on $15,500 bond.
