"I'm in a good place. I learned from my mistakes."

Yesterday afternoon DeMarcus Cousins gave an emotional farewell speech to a small group of people in Sacramento and today he will board a flight to New Orleans where he'll team up with Anthony Davis and the rest of the Pelicans.

Prior to his flight, DeMarcus spoke with some members of the media and reflected on his 6-year run with the Kings, saying he doesn't regret anything and has learned from his mistakes.

"At the same time, I don't regret anything. Everything I've been through has helped me grow as a person, so I'm good. I'm in a good place. I learned from my mistakes."

He added another final farewell to Kings fans, per Jason Jones:

"I got nothing but love for you. Thank you for all the memories. Thanks for dealing with this knucklehead for six-plus years, and I'll see you guys soon," Cousins said.

The 26-year old center will be back on the court at the Smoothie King Center on Thursday as the Pelicans start their playoff push with a matchup against the Rockets. The Pelicans will host the Kings on March 31st.
