Remy Ma and Fat Joe have felt a resurgence in 2016 that continues to extend in 2017, resulting in a Grammy nomination for their hit collaboration "All The Way Up." The duo will continue to feed off each other's energy with a joint album, Plata O Plomo, which they discuss on The Breakfast Club, as well as the Grammys and much more.
"I'm a fan of Chance The Rapper," Fat Joe said of the Grammy winner, as they dive straight into the Grammys topic. "He won an award, the New Artist, that ain't been a rapper that won shit in eighteen years since Lauryn Hill. And when Lauryn Hill won that, she won that after selling 30 million Fugees records, and then went on to her solo classic album."
While Remy Ma jumps in to give her opinion on the Grammy categories and nominees, from Desiigner to Chance, Fat Joe attempts to quell any possible answers about her contemporaries that could get twisted around on Remy, asking her to "stop."
The interview spans over an hour and thus touches on a lot of topics. As it goes on, Remy talks about calling out artists by name when required, specifically, fellow female artists.
Fat Joe and Remy Ma's album, Plata O Plomo, drops on Friday. Watch the in-depth interview below.
