Around 5:40 AM on Saturday morning, Drake's tour bus was driving back to his hotel to rest up before the second of two shows in Manchester, England that night. They ran into to some traffic near the Mancunian Way bridge, apparently caused by a man who was threatening to jump off it. According to the Manchester Evening News, Drake sent a member of his entourage to police handling the situation to see if he could use his star power to help coax the man down.
“One officer was approached by a male from a tour van caught up in the traffic congestion, claiming to be part of Drake’s entourage," policeman Phil Spurgeon told the Evening News. "He offered for Drake to speak to the male on the bridge, if that would help. The offer was declined with thanks.”
The man was ultimately persuaded to come down from the bridge and was taken to the hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
