Big Sean made a quick trip to NYC this past week in order to help promote his new album, I Decided, which hit online retailers last Friday. Among his press pit stops, the Detroit native visited The Breakfast Club to chop it up with Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee.
Sean reveals at the outset of the interview that I Decided is his first album released without any physical copies, in order to avoid any leaks, and at the same time, the fact that it was just digital facilitated the last minute Migos feature on "Sacrifices."
Sean Don says, "That [Migos feature] came in at like the last minute, last week." He continued to profess his love for the dabbing trio, "I got love for the Migos, anybody that keeping it raw, not really giving a fuck about what anyone saying, doing their thing, I got respect for."
"I remember when I met them they came to me and was just saying...I remember Quavo talking about like, 'yo you one of the ones we look up to, you one of our OGs,' I'm sitting here thinking like, I'm probably two years older than you," Big Sean said to laughs in the room.
The conversation soon turns to Jhene Aiko, who, apart from being his girl has a feature on the album as their duo Twenty88, and is also referenced throughout the album. When asked if Sean was feeling Ms Jhene at a time when she was taken by another man, he gets a bit silent before loosening up to say, "It's always been feelings for her, just to keep it honest. She's a great person." The rapper says to expect another Twenty88 album as well.
