"We're going to get our first championship with the album, it only makes sense."

A petition asking that Migos replace Lady Gaga at this year's Super Bowl has collected over 50,000 signatures since it launched last week, and now the Atlanta trio, who released their sophomore album CULTURE on Friday, have responded to the hype.

"I didn’t even know it was real," said Quavo of the petition, though he and fellow members Takeoff and Offset are very ready to perform if they got the opportunity. "For real, we need to go perform at the Super Bowl," he said, suggesting that it's only right that the Atlanta-based group with the #1 song in the country ("Bad and Boujee") perform at the event, where their home team, the Atlanta Falcons will face off against the New England Patriots.

"We got the Atlanta Falcons, and we got the Atlanta trio. You got the greatest team and you got the greatest team," Quavo argued, motioning to himself and his collaborators. "[The Falcons] are going to get [their] first championship. We're going to get our first championship with the album. It only makes sense."

While the petition asked that Lady Gaga be replaced by Migos at the upcoming halftime show, the rappers don't seem to have any explicit desire to take her spot. Maybe she could just bring them out to perform a few hits and make everyone happy?

Super Bowl LI will take place this coming Sunday, February 5th. Is there enough time to schedule an emergency Migos performance for the CULTURE?
