Knicks have allegedly reached out to the Celtics and Clippers.

New York Knicks president Phil Jackson is reportedly "determined" to trade All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony before the NBA's trade deadline on February 23rd.

According to The Vertical, the Knicks have reached out to the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Clippers to gauge their interest in Melo, who the Knicks are hoping would waive his no-trade clause should a deal come to fruition with either team.

Jackson is allegedly desperate to rid the team of Melo and his contract ($24.6 million this season and $54 million over the next two) in an effort to begin rebuilding around Kristaps Porzingis.

Yesterday word got out that the Knicks also tried to work a Carmelo for Kevin Love trade with Cleveland, but the Cavs weren't interested. Of course, that's all subject to change as we get closer to the deadline.
