At the Trump Administration's first press conference Saturday, the dishonesty was already bluntly present. White House press secretary Sean Spicer spent the majority of the conference railing against the media for talking about how few attendees were at Donald Trump's inauguration in comparison to Obama's in 2009, an accusation Spicer claims is false. For those who haven't seen it, this is the image Spicer is angry about.
Official estimates reported by the mainstream press claimed that 250,000 people attended Trump's inauguration, but Spicer claimed that there was no way to reach an estimate at all because the National Park Service didn't release any numbers. Spicer claimed that this misinformation was an attempt to undermine the American people's enthusiasm for the Trump presidency. Twitter immediately called BS.
