Drake may have taken shots at Tory Lanez on his only single of the year, "Summer Sixteen," though during All-Star weekend in Toronto, Lanez denied any bad blood toward his fellow Canadian. Lanez now finds himself in another potential conflict, though with an unexpected artist: Atlanta R&B singer Jacquees, who has emerged as Birdman's latest protégé.
It started when Jacquees tweeted, "Chris my idol/big bro he don't count he never will but you other guys im at yo throat." The tweet seems to suggest that Jacquees is in fierce competition with every guy in the R&B game, save for Chris Brown, who is his "idol/big bro." The tweet wasn't convincing to Lanez, who responded to Jacquees with two choice emojis.

Jacquees took Lanez' emoji response as an assault, and he went on to call the Toronto singer a "peasant" as well as a "watermelon head ass." Jacquees did, however, take the time to compliment Lanez' penmanship, though he implied that Lanez' vocal talents are not up to par with his own.

Since Jacquees' insults, Lanez has yet to address the Cash Money singer directly, though he did tell his followers to "advise that boy."
