Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown took to social media late last night to issue an apology for the Facebook Live video he posted after his team's win last Sunday, which head coach Mike Tomlin described as "foolish, selfish and inconsiderate."
Speaking with the media yesterday, Tomlin was forced to apologize for the "inappropriate language" he used while talking to his players in the locker room and mentioned that Brown would be punished for violating the team's policies.
Here's what Brown had to say for himself last night after he reportedly apologized to his coach and teammates.
"First, I'd like to take this opportunity to say that I'm sorry for my actions and behavior after Sunday's game," Brown wrote.
"I let my emotions and genuine excitement get the best of me, and I wanted to share that moment with our fans."
"It was wrong of me to do, against team and NFL policy, and I have apologized to Coach Tomlin and my teammates for my actions."
"I'm sorry to them for letting it become a distraction and something that they've had to answer questions about while preparing for a big game on Sunday."
Hopefully we can all stop talking about this silly video now and shift our attention to this Sunday's showdown between the Steelers and Patriots in Foxborough.
