The wildly popular Fox drama Empire has been renewed for a 4th season. Created by Lee Daniels, the show’s dramatic pollen hooked audiences immediately with lurid tales of record executives and rising music stars.
The show has fallen a bit from its astronomical beginnings, but it is still the #1 broadcast drama for Adults 18-49 three seasons running and is the top entertainment program among Adults 18-34, teens and young women, per Deadline. Empire is average 16 million viewers for the current season.
The show is currently on a winter hiatus, and will begin the second half of its third season on March 22 as Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson and company return to your television screen. Nia Long is among the more recent additions to the cast.
Empire creator Lee Daniels recently made headlines for his critical remarks on the #OscarsSoWhite debate.
