Back in November, it was reported that the estate of late legend Prince would be suing Tidal and Roc Nation for copyright infringement, in regards to Prince's 2015 LP HITNRUN Phase One. It seems that Jay Z wants to even the score, as reports now say that Roc Nation is countersuing Prince's estate.
According to Roc Nation's countersuit, it's been alleged that Prince's estate had been shopping around the singer's catalogue to various streaming services following his death. They foresee a massive uptick in public interest after the Prince tribute that's been planned for this year's Grammy Awards.
Roc Nation's legal team has argued in the past that Prince wanted his music exclusively on Tidal, and that Jay Z and the late icon had worked something out while he was still alive.
What do y'all think? Is it okay that Roc Nation is suing a family in grief? Let us know in the comments below.
