Many fans worried Kanye West stretched The Life of Pablo to thin when he expanded the album from 10 tracks to 17 at the last minute. But according to his cousin, The World Famous Tony Williams, he set aside material from the TLOP sessions for his next project.
Best known for his singing on College Dropout's "I'll Fly Away," Williams granted an interview with Central Track to clear his name -- no, he was not the laptop-stealing cousin whom Kanye referenced in "Real Friends" and "No More Parties in LA."
Though Williams' contributions to TLOP are limited to his writing credit on "Waves," he told Central Track that he recorded material that Kanye is saving for the next one.
"Some songs were held back for the next project," Williams said. "That's where my features are."
This is probably wishful thinking on Williams' part -- that his features that got cut will yet see the light of day. Still, this is good news for everyone who heard that fiery unreleased track with Sampha that Kanye debuted at Yo Gotti's album release party. He says his next album is dropping this summer... stay tuned.
