The NBA is switching up it's All-Star balloting, giving players and members of the media a say in who gets to start in the game, in addition to the fans who will still get to vote, though their influence will be less significant.
According to ESPN's Marc Stein, the fan vote will account for 50% of the vote total for All-Star starters while the players and media will account for 25% each. As always, fans can still submit one full All-Star ballot per day through NBA.com, Twitter, Facebook and Google Search.
Players (they can vote for themselves if they want) and select members of the media will fill out one full ballot each.
All-Star voting for the February 19th game in New Orleans will begin at 11am on Christmas Day. The seven All-Star reserves will still be voted on by coaches in the Eastern and Western Conferences.
