One of the more entertaining beefs of the moment is that between "Crank That" rapper Soulja Boy and "Holes" actor Shia LaBeouf.
Of course, Soulja's beefing with everybody these days, but for those wondering how LaBeouf got involved, it started with the 30-year-old thespian dissing Lil Yachty with a surprise freestyle on Sway in the Morning last month. Then, in another freestyle he gave to Charlamagne to premiere on The Breakfast Club, he went after Yachty even harder and poked fun at the red-dreaded rapper's beef with Soulja Boy. The beef between the two Atlantans began after Yachty asked Soulja to remove an Instagram picture of model India Love. Then, Soulja got out his Draco and took it to a whole new level.
As his beef with Yachty started to fade from the public interest, Soulja responded to LaBeouf name-dropping him on a freestyle. He violently lashed out at the actor/surprisingly adept emcee and revoked his hood pass in Atlanta. LaBeouf, keeping his composure, quickly responded with yet another freestyle, which included lines directed at Soulja like, "You got the demeanor of a vacuum cleaner / You suck."
Yesterday, Soulja decided to give LaBeouf a warning -- letting him know that his response track will surely end his short-lived rap career, but also promising to squash the beef if LaBeouf were to give him a high-profile acting gig, in the next "Transformers" movie, for example. After Soulja let his course of action be known, TMZ caught up with LaBeouf at Studio City in L.A. and asked him about his unanticipated rival in Atlanta. "What about him? I think he's awesome," said a surprisingly amicable LaBeouf. When asked about Soulja's threats, LaBeouf responded, "He's a sweetheart, bro. He don't mean it." Does this mean LaBeouf is done with the beef, or is he implying that Soulja is too soft to make good on his stick talk?
Lastly, LaBeouf was asked if he could get Soulja onto the silver screen, to which he said, "Oh, I don't know, man. I think he can do it on his own. He's a pretty enigmatic character."
