“I’m not going to the White House.”

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert recently spoke with Complex about a wide range of topics including the potential for a third straight Warriors vs. Cavs NBA Finals.

When asked about Draymond Green's comments that the Warriors would "annihilate" Cleveland in the NBA Finals rubber match, Shump said:

"He should. We supposed to hate them, and they supposed to hate us. It’s OK. They supposed to take cheap shots at us. They’re gonna hate us, fam. That’s what sports is. It’s great. I love every bit of it. I’m glad he said that ’cause we gon’ bust they ass, too. You need to type that up: We gon bust your ass. Period."

Assuming things go according to plan for Shumpert and the Cavs, would he be willing to visit Donald Trump in the White House?

“I’m not going to the White House.”

LeBron James was asked a similar question after the Cavs' most recent trip to the White House in celebration of last year's title, but he stopped short of flat out saying he wouldn't go. Not on Shump's watch though.
