Colin Kaepernick's decision to kneel for the national anthem has elicited strongly-worded praise and criticism. For every Stephen Curry extolling Kaep for standing up for his beliefs, there is a Mike Ditka telling him to leave the country if he doesn't like it.

During Tuesday's episode of FS1's "Undisputed," Nelly added his name to the pro-Kaepernick camp as he explained to Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe how the 49ers QB is like Rosa Parks.

“It is a serious issue and I’m with him," Nelly said. "If you look at any type of movement all throughout history, when Rosa Parks didn’t get up, she was tired. Had she not been tired maybe she would have got up. Maybe it hadn’t started then. It doesn’t matter when it starts or how it starts or why it starts. The thing is it’s here.”

Nelly argued that it doesn't matter that Kapernick wasn't the starting quarterback when he started kneeling. “They’re not looking at the significance of what she’s doing at that time," he said. "It doesn’t matter when it starts and the scenario around it, it’s the focus of it. For someone like Colin Kaepernick to jeopardize everything he’s worked for up to this point…I think the brother’s genuine, I’m definitely in his corner. I know Colin, I’ve met him a few times. I think we don’t know the real Colin Kaepernick yet because I think he’s finding himself.”

“Football is a game, that kneel is about life," he concluded.
