Our weekly favorites compiled into a playlist.

This week started out slow, at least when it comes to new songs, although news has been poppin since the week began-- although it wasn't the necessarily good news. Kim Kardashian was robbed and held at gunpoint, driving multiple reports following the incident, and we also saw a couple rappers get hacked: J. Cole's twitter and Young Thug's Instagram. SZA had an outburst of her own accord on twitter (which has since been deleted). Plus, there's been some snowballing in the strange 21 Savage vs. 22 Savage situation, with 21 finally addressing (or dismissing) his imitator. Finally, we received the news that Kid Cudi was checking himself into rehab, although we've seen a lot of positive messages and support for the rapper since then. Hopefully we'll receive some happier news stories next week.

Back to the music though, the end of the week has definitely picked up when it comes to singles, giving us enough to pick and choose from for this week's Staff Picks playlist. We kick off the playlist with some softer, lighter sounds before getting into harder, trap shit.

Take a listen.
