Denver Broncos linebacker, Brandon Marshall has vowed to donate $300 for every tackle he makes this year to several organizations in the Denver community, including the Rose Adom Center to help stop domestic violence.
Marshall first made headlines during the Broncos season opener by kneeling during the National Anthem, and then by delivering a helmet to helmet hit on Cam Newton which cost him $24,309 in fines.
He has since met with Denver Police Chief, Robert White, to talk about some of the issues in the Denver community which resulted in his promise to make donations throughout the season. As evidenced by his instagram post, fans can track his donations throughout the year via social media using the #TackleChange hashtag.
Last season, Marshall had 77 total tackles and 102 combined tackles during the regular season. For those scoring at home, if he can replicate those numbers this season it'll work out to roughly $23,000-$30,000 in donations.
Marshall recorded six tackles in Week 1 against Carolina and will be back on the prowl this Sunday against Indianapolis.
