The NFL season is only one week old but rumors are already swirling about which artists will be headlining Super Bowl 51 in Houston, Texas in February.
According to Billboard, Lady Gaga is on that short list of artists, and has had talks to headline the halftime show, although a final decision has not yet been made.
"We have had conversations with several fantastic artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show," an NFL rep told Billboard in a statement when asked about Gaga. "However, at this point we do not have a final decision. We're happy there is so much excitement about the show."
This wouldn't be Gaga's first trip to the Super Bowl, as she delivered the National Anthem prior to last year's game. The league already tried to lockdown Adele for the big game, but according to her, she politely turned them down.
Fans have been trying to get someone like Kanye West to perform at Super Bowl 51, sparking the #KanyeWestForSuperBowl51 movement, though it's unclear if the league and Yeezy have had any talks.
