Nelly Reportedly Owes Over $2 Million To The IRS

Celebrities often get hit with tax liens, but they don't generally come this large. TMZ is reporting that Nelly owes a whopping $2,412,283 in backtaxes to IRS -- enough to give them license to start confiscating his property if the debt is not payed.

This is in addition to the reported $149,511 he owed in state taxes earlier this year. According to a source close to Nelly who spoke with TMZ, the rapper is in the process of settling the outstanding charges. 

Earlier this summer, Nelly's debut album, Country Grammar, became one of the few rap albums to be certified diamond (10 million in equivalent sales), so hopefully he shouldn't have too much trouble settling up with Uncle Sam.
