"Whatever we decide to do will be a big surprise."

Colin Kaepernick isn't the only athlete who has chosen to sit, or kneel, during the playing of our National Anthem as a method of protest against racial inequality. His teammate, Eric Reid, took a knee with him prior to their final preseason game and women's soccer star, Megan Rapinoe followed suit with a kneel down before her Seattle Reign took the field.

Seattle Seahawks cornerback, Jeremy Lane has sat for the Anthem as well, and says he will continue to do so, although he might have more company when they take on the Dolphins this Sunday.

Wide receiver, Doug Baldwin has also considered following Lane's lead, and linebacker Bobby Wagner recently said that the entire team has discussed taking further action as a group.

While Wagner said he didn't know if he would sit down during the anthem he said "anything we want to do, it's not going to be individual. It's going to be a team thing. That's what the world needs to see. The world needs to see people coming together versus being individuals."

Wagner said he couldn't say exactly what the team might do, saying "whatever we decide to do will be a big surprise."

Wagner added: "We have the freedom to do whatever we want here. Whatever we decide to do, we ain't gonna get into too much trouble. We're big kids now."

Whatever the Seahawks decide to do, it looks like they'll have head coach Pete Carroll's support.

"[Lane's] pretty clear on what he did and what he was trying to express and I think it is very simple and so we'll leave that up to him," Carroll said. "But he understands the responsibility of it, I think, and shouldering it.''
