Colin Kaepernick's #7 San Francisco 49ers jersey has quickly become the top-selling jersey at NFL Shop, as a growing number of people have come out to support his public cry for racial equality.
Jabari Parker, J Cole and Trey Songz have all donned different variations of Kaepernick's jersey in the last week, but they're not the only ones that've gone out to support his protest. Fans across the country are shelling out $100 for the #7 jersey, and Kaepernick has taken notice. And he plans to pay it forward.
As his jersey sales continue to rise, Kaepernick has said that he'll be donating all proceeds back into the communities. He captioned today's instagram post, which featured images of Trey Songz and Jabari Parker, with the following message.
"I want to thank everyone who has shown me love and support, it truly means a lot! I wasn't expecting my jersey sales to jump to number one because of this, but it shows the people's belief that we can achieve justice and equality for ALL! The only way I can repay you for the support is to return the favor by donating all the proceeds I receive from my jersey sales back into the communities! I believe in the people, and WE can be the change!"
