Drake's Summer Sixteen tour has been defined by the rotation of high-profile guests he's brought out. After inviting Lil Wayne out on stage in Miami a few days ago, Drake brought out Weezy once more at the tour's Sunday night stop in Houston.
After Wayne revealed that he feels “defenseless and mentally defeated" on Saturday, scores of rappers took to social media to show support. Young Thug expressed his love for Weezy early Monday morning, and Drake did the same on Instagram after the show.
"The boss @liltunechi," he wrote. We are fighting until you get yours. Freedom to drop music and peace of mind. I don't know what these other weirdos are on with all the side talks but I know you gave me a shot and all I can ever do with the rest of my life is return the favor. YOUNG MONEY FOREVER."
Drake and Lil Wayne are technically still label mates. Both are desperate to get off of Cash Money as soon as possible.
