Barack Obama's days as President of the Unites States of America are coming to an end, but he plans on going out with a band. Before he officially exits the White House, President Obama will be hosting a one day festival called "South By South Lawn," the presidential version of SXSW.

In fact, the SXSL music festival is being done in partnership with SXSW and will feature short student films and panel discussions as well as the obvious live performances. Earlier this year, Obama was a guest speaker at SXSW in Austin, Texas for SXSW in which he challenged creative thinkers and entrepreneurs from across the country to help tackle our nation's toughest challenges.

There's no word on who will be performing at South By South Lawn, but it's all going down on October 3rd. If you, or someone you know, deserves to be at this event you can nominate yourself, or a friend, to attend. Click here for more information on that.
