It has been a rough week for cocaine smugglers. Just days after a trio was caught with roughly $23 million worth of cocaine on a cruise ship, a reported $56 million worth of blow was seized from a French Coca-Cola factory.
Workers at the factory, located in southern France, reportedly uncovered the drugs in a shipment of orange juice concentrate and authorities are saying it is one of the largest such discoveries on French turf. The total amount was roughly 370 kilograms which allegedly has a street value of 50 million euros, or $56 million USD.
According to the NY Times, the shipment came from South America and although the massive haul was unearthed at the Coca-Cola factory, all employees have been ruled out as potential suspects.
