50 Cent has officially announced that his newly founded company, G-Unit Film & Television Inc., will be producing a new superhero series on Starz called "Tomorrow, Today."
The superhero drama is actually based on a screenplay that 50 wrote himself in which a falsely imprisoned veteran from Chicago's southside becomes the experiment of a mad prison doctor trying to create the perfect, unstoppable killing machine of a man. Once set free, the main character must face the world that has turned against him, while using his new "powers" for good.
The announcement of this new series comes as a result of Starz extending their contract with 50 which will keep him with the company through September 18th.
“I am looking forward to continuing my relationship with my Starz family, we have had great success together on "Power" and I am excited to get going on all of our upcoming projects together. I knew Starz would be the perfect home for Tomorrow, Today. This project is very personal to me…creating it, writing it, finding the best team for it and I will continue to be involved every step of the way," said Jackson.
“We’re excited to develop this series with Curtis to showcase his producing skills with this unique storyline,” added Carmi Zlotnik, managing director of Starz.
Additionally, 50 Cent has also teased the release of another series called "Black Mafia Family."
