Dallas Cowboys' rooking running back out of Ohio State, Ezekiel Elliott, has been accused of domestic assault by his girlfriend and the NFL has already launched an investigation into the claims.
According to ESPN, Tiffany Thompson claims she was Elliott's live-in girlfriend and has accused him of assaulting her multiple times over the past week. She told police that he assaulted her in a parked car early Friday morning although four witnesses, one of which was actually in the car at the time, told authorities they didn't see any assault take place.
"Thompson also accused Elliott of striking her "several times" and "leaving bruises on her arms" over a five-day period from Saturday to Wednesday, according to a second police report. Elliott, however, told police that he never touched Thompson in "a harmful manner," saying she suffered the bruises during a bar fight."
The 21-year old running back has denied all of the accusations made against him and has told police that the woman never even lived with him- he just paid for her rent and co-signed on a vehicle. Elliott has not been arrested or charged with any crimes.
Despite the allegations, Ezekiel Elliott's #21 Cowboys jersey has been the best selling jersey on NFL.com over the last three months.
