Anderson Varejao won't be accepting a championship ring from the Cleveland Cavaliers, which shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
Despite the fact that Varejao was on the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals, he's still eligible for some of the Cavs' championship hardware because he spent most of the regular season with Cleveland- He was the first player in NBA history to have played for both teams competing in the NBA Finals in the same season.
According to a Cleveland.com report, Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert said he'd be willing to send a ring to Varejao only if he requested one, but that phone ain't ringing.
There's no honor in taking a championship ring if the team you were on at the end of the year didn't win it all, and because he's not a spineless jellyfish without dignity there's no chance Varejao will be donning any Cavaliers championship jewelry.
