However you may feel about Drake's 4th studio album, VIEWS, it is on pace to be his biggest commercial success yet. The album and its lead single, "One Dance," have, together, refused to budge from their perches atop the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 charts for the last 7 weeks, tying Michael Jackson's 1983 run, which makes him one of two male artists to do so.
Whitney Houston and The Beatles are tied for the record, each having albums and singles chart simultaneously for 12 consecutive weeks. That's quite an ambitious goal, but if anyone can take a crack at the seemingly untouchable record right now, it's Drake (or of course, Adele).
Kind of crazy to think of Drake being as big as Michael Jackson when he dropped Thriller. Given the stats, is that a possible parallel to make?
