We ended the week on a high note, not only because of the music we received-- it's a good day for West Coast rap lovers, with new albums from YG and The Game-- but because we launched our latest digital cover story with Bompton's aforementioned YG. Suffice to say, we're pretty content about today. On top of all this, it's Friday. So yeah, doesn't get much better. Oh yeah, there's also only an hour/two hours/slightly more depending what coast you live on, left in the work day, so raised-hands-emojis all around (basically).
Apart from these things, the past week was more or less defined by ScHoolboy Q's Blank Face LP art/non-art hilarity, new music from Juicy J and Travis Scott, the latest XXL Freshmen cover and Kanye West's "The Saint Pablo" tour dates. What was your favorite thing that happened this past week??? We'd like to know.
As for Staff Picks, it covers quite a bit of ground as per usual, given the varied tastes of our staff. From hip-hop-head's wet dream Your Old Droog to the Internet Generation's savior Lil Yachty, there's a bit of everything, all compiled neatly to make for one easy listen.
