LeBron James exploded for one of the all-time performances of his career during Game 5 of the NBA Finals, willing the Cavaliers to victory with a monster stat line including 41 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists.
He was in a zone that night and Cavs fans can thank the Corleone's for that.
According to ESPN's Chris Broussard, LeBron watched "The Godfather Part II" prior to his historic performance against the Warriors.
“He said last night, ‘It just settled me down. It’s about family and so many other things,’” Broussard said. “So that got him into the mood to go out and bust 41 tonight.”
In fact, Broussard says LeBron has watched "The Godfather" six times throughout the post season, which is almost more outrageous than his Game 5 performance because those movies are absolute marathons.
With Game 6 taking place tomorrow night in Cleveland, you know that LBJ will be locked in to "The Godfather Part III" tonight; get your popcorn ready.
