LeBron James and Kyrie Irving willed the Cleveland Cavaliers to victory in last night's "win or go home" Game 5 at Oracle Arena, pouring in 41 points a piece and scoring or assisting on 97 of the team's 112 points. It was the first time in NBA history that two teammates scored 40+ points in the same NBA Finals game.
And they did it all while wearing those blasphemous sleeved jerseys.
LeBron put on one of the best games of his career, and arguably his best post-season performance ever, outside of his Game 6 performance in Boston four years ago. He absolutely took over the game with a ridiculous stat line of 41 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and three blocked shots.
However, it was Kyrie Irving who received all of LeBron's praise after the game, calling it "probably one of the greatest performances I've ever seen live."
Irving's 41 points came on an incredibly efficient 71% shooting, a feat which hasn't been accomplished since Wilt Chamberlain in 1970. He was completely immersed in "video game mode" and said after the game, "All I saw was the basket."
Game 6 will take place on Thursday night at 9pm in Cleveland.
