We recently passed the one-year anniversary of Chinx's untimely death. Veronica Clinton, Chinx's mother, used the anniversary as an opportunity to speak out against those close to Chinx, whom she feels disrespected by-- calling out French Montana, Chinx's label head, in particular, as well as Diddy.
Clinton told a small public gathering at the time, "They ain't said nothing to me since my child been dead. Even when my child was dead, they didn't say nothing to me." During a recent appearance on Wendy Williams' talk show, French responded to these accusations.
When asked about Clinton's claims, French replied, "I think that's the police job. I love Chinx's mom. But I think me and her never had a relationship. I never spoke to her when he was alive. I might have spoke to her one time. The second time I spoke to her was at the funeral."
He continued, "She just asked me, 'what's going on with my son,' I was like, 'I dunno. I told him to stay out the streets, don't be driving around [at] 4 in the morning by yourself or with you and another person. She said 'you're not his father.'"
Check out the rest of the video interview below, where they also touch on French's upcoming album Mac & Cheese.
