The Greatest Of All Time, Muhammad Ali, has passed away at the age of 74.
According to reports, Ali died at a Phoenix-area hospital on Friday, the same spot where he had been staying for the past few days while receiving respiratory treatments.
"After a 32-year battle with Parkinson's disease, Muhammad Ali has passed away at the age of 74. The three-time World Heavyweight Champion boxer died this evening," Bob Gunnell, a family spokesman, told NBC News.
Ali had battled Parkinson's disease for over 30 years but when he was an active boxer he boasted a record of 56-5 (37 by knockout), including three world heavyweight championships, multiple wins over Joe Frazier, and a KO of George Foreman.
Ali is survived by his wife, Yolanda, and his nine children.
“People don’t realize what they had till it’s gone,” he once said. “Like President Kennedy … nobody like him. Like The Beatles, there will never be anything like them. Like my man, Elvis Presley. I was the Elvis of boxing.”
