The Lil Wayne x Birdman saga continues. Just a day after footage surfaced of Lil Wayne leading a chant at Denver’s 4/20 rally saying “Fuck Cash Money,” more news has come to light.
According to TMZ, the two sides couldn’t come to an agreement and settlement talks have completely “broken off within the past month,” meaning Lil Wayne is still going through with the $51 million dollar lawsuit. The report states that Lil Wayne is mostly upset because Birdman still refuses to release his long-awaited album, Tha Carter V, which has now been on the shelf for a few years. The YMCMB boss thought he and Birdman were finally on the same page about the LP before realizing that nothing had change, ultimately causing Lil Wayne to end the settlement talks.
Fittingly enough, the settlement talks were broken off right before Lil Wayne was spotted with Birdman’s foes Rick Ross & Trick Daddy at Beyonce’s “Formation Tour” last month. Hence, why he took the picture, and also why he started to chant “Fuck Cash Money” last weekend in Denver as well.
As always, we’ll keep you posted on this never-ending feud between Weezy & Birdman moving forward.
