After breaking the internet with the release of LEMONADE, Beyoncé has been taking her new songs to the stage on the FORMATION World Tour, but unfortunately, one city will have to wait a little longer than planned to see the Queen Bey.
The singer's Nashville performance scheduled for May 5th at Nissan Stadium has been postponed. TMZ broke the news, suggesting that Nissan Stadium's recent renovations could be behind the delay, but the official Twitter account for the venue has refuted those rumors, writing, "Nissan Stadium was ready and able to host the May 5 Beyoncé show, and we look forward to the rescheduled event."
A statement released to Us Weekly from promoters reads as follows.
Following Wednesday’s sold out opening night Formation World Tour concert in Miami, promoters Live Nation announced that the Nashville concert previously scheduled for Thursday, May 5th will be rescheduled. Details about the rescheduled date will be announced shortly and Nashville tickets holders are advised to retain their tickets which will be honored at the rescheduled event. ... Live Nation apologizes for any inconvenience."
Meanwhile, an unofficial fan account supported the suggestion that venue construction was to blame for the rescheduling. We will update when further information becomes available, including the date of the make-up show.
