Skateboarding won't be featured at the upcoming Summer Olympics in Rio but the International Olympic Committee has officially announced that the sport has been added to the list of Olympic games, and will be included in the 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo.
The new skateboarding field will include men's and women's park and street events, with a total of 80 skaters competing in each discipline. According to reports, the move to include skateboarding was crucial in the IOC's plan to draw a younger audience to the Olympic games.
However, if the IOC tests for weed you can probably forget about all of this.
Along with skateboarding, the IOC also agreed to add karate, baseball/softball, surfing and sport climbing [whatever the hell that is].
