Skepta's made massive strides in the U.S. and overseas, thanks in part to his Drake co-sign, but obviously we've also been liking what we hear from him, beyond Drizzy's say so. Skepta's album, Konnichiwa, has been a long time coming, and as he's picked up plenty of new fans since the album's initial announcement, it's a project that old and new fans alike have been fiending for. While it's definitely not a debut album, for many, it'll act as such.
The rapper finally announced a release date for Konnichiwa this afternoon, via Instagram. Along with the artwork for the album, Skepta revealed he's settled on May 6th as the release date. That's a healthy one week after Drake drops Views From The 6. Back in February, Drake announced he "signed" to Skepta's BBK imprint, but we haven't received more details or info on this announcement since then. Are the two in cahoots with these back-to-back album releases?
