A Notorious B.I.G. Hologram Is Officially On Its Way

We've been hearing rumors for a while now, but today, it's been confirmed that the Notorious B.I.G. will be performing in hologram form sometime in the near future. Billboard has spoken with ARHT, who have managed to secure the rights to the late rapper's likeness, and could potentially be taking the hologram on tour, but first, it's to appear in Faith Eavns' music video for a song from her upcoming LP, The King & I.

“We have a very sophisticated transmission technology for beaming these digital humans through the public Internet to literally any point on the planet," ARHT CEo Paul Duffy reports. "These digital humans can scale to any size of venue so it can be in a window display, your living room or it could be in a 50,000-seat arena for a real-time delivery and display of this human hologram, that we call ‘Humagrams.'”

Apparently, this technology is a little more advanced than what we saw with Tupac's 2012 hologram performance, as it's a lot more portable, as Duffy reports it can be thrown "in the back of a uHaul truck, and set up and break down within an hour."

Seeing that Diddy has just announced plans for a two Puff Daddy & The Family Reunion shows, and possible tour, we may be seeing this version of Biggie on stage soon enough.
