Kanye West's The Life of Pablo is finally available for commercial download, sort of. Basically, everyone who purchased TLOP on TIDAL during the initial period it was available to purchase, are now being sent the latest version of the seemingly continuously-updated album.
A TIDAL representative spoke to Pitchfork and said the following about the download availability: "The latest version of The Life of Pablo is now being delivered to the individuals that purchased it originally, as well as to those who in some cases did not receive a download link at the time of the album's release. Customers that received a refund will also receive a download link as a courtesy from Tidal.com."
Unfortunately though, new customers are not able to purchase TLOP at this time. Kanye West's newest album roll out has been a confusing one. The album was available momentarily for (digital) purchase on TIDAL when it dropped, and later was available exclusively to stream on TIDAL. Since that time, we've seen select records off the album make their way on to competing streaming services, Apple and Spotify.
We'll continue to update you on The Life of Pablo's availability, or lack-there-of.
