Producer Malay, who worked with Frank Ocean on "channel ORANGE," updates us on the sophomore album from the r'n'b singer.

At the end of February, rumors circulated about a very private Frank Ocean listening session, that apparently went down in New York City. A short clip found its way online, but didn't tell us too much, and didn't last very long-- the Frank Ocean Powers-That-Be soon swiped the internet clean of any tell-tale footage.

Nonetheless, the report was enough to give Frank Ocean fans a glimmer of hope that a new album from the singer was in the works/finished/on the way. Today, producer Malay (real name James Ho) gives us an update on the elusive Frank Ocean album during a Pitchfork interview. Malay worked closely with Ocean on his debut channel ORANGE, and returned to the scene for the latest Ocean album.

Here's what he has to say about the album's release: "I always tell people: When he’s ready, the world is gonna get it. It could be tomorrow… well not tomorrow but maybe a month [laughs]. We’ve all been working hard. He’s been working super hard. I feel like he’s working harder than he’s ever worked in his life. I’m excited for everyone to hear it. I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised, for sure."

We'll keep you posted.
