Donald Trump Jr. doesn't understand why people are protesting his father's candidacy; John Legend explains.

As Donald Trump's unlikely race to the White House becomes increasingly viable with each day, celebrities are beginning to voice their opposition to the controversial GOP candidate. A couple of days ago, Chris Brown blasted off about Trump's alleged racism, and today, another R&B singer, John Legend, got into a short Twitter feud with Trump's son, during which he told Donald Jr. that his father is a racist.

Trump has recently come under fire for the violent and perhaps racist manner in which protestors have been treated at his rallies. Donald Jr. sent out a tweet today scoffing at the growing group of protestors that have become regulars at his father's campaign stops, suggesting that they don't even know what they're protesting about.

Legend was quick to respond to Trump Jr.'s tweet, expressing his belief that it's obvious why the aforementioned group would attend a Trump rally: "I think they were protesting your racist father. This isn't complicated."

Trump Jr. wasn't satisfied with Legend's response, and he went on to explain that racism "can't be the answer for everything you don't like."

A random user and likely Trump supporter caught wind of the back and forth, and he tweeted his opinion that Legend must not be educated for believing Trump is a racist. Legend quickly responded to him, too, and exposed the ignorance of the man's comments while pointing out that he attended the same university as both Trump Sr. and Trump Jr. Legend graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999 with a degree in English and a concentration in African-American literature and culture.
